Food was delicious. Breakfast was busy but service was good despite this.

I only needed a comfortable night before working the next day in the area and the hotel delivered.

Reliable quality, room was clean and pleasant. Restaurant good as one would expect. Parking seemed safe. Did not use spa as arrived too late but it looks really good.

Prices high AND service charge was added when buying a drink from the bar!!?? I mean not an 'at table' service, stood at the bar.. Disappointed that the log fire has gone since my last visit (this was my third visit). If wood is good enough for taxpayer subsidised burning in the Drax power-plant we should ALL enjoy the delight of a real fire. Stop running scared from the 'green mafia'.

Parking, no separate parking for hotel guest so spent lots of time looking for space. No drinking water in the room.

Very busy complex..

Just off the Toll Rd the location is easy to access. Golf courses very attractive setting. Lounge area ( when empty) looked welcoming. Staff in breakfast area very pleasant and efficient; as were the staff at the event dinner. Masseur also very professional. (Hajar)

Far too busy - the entrance area was akin to entering a service motorway station - maybe because so many people were checking in, and once in there wasn’t really anywhere to go. I went to the spa area - dangerously busy - they actually closed the area. I stayed 15 mins that was enough. I booked in for a 25 min massage the next morning - which while very good was essentially £2 a minute; and was I cross when I arrived to find the price had been halved in the meantime - though I didn’t benefit from that reduction. My request was just met with a shrug of the shoulders. This is a massive complex, and signage to various accommodation areas was poor - people wandering around as though in a maze. Our room was what we ordered - a double room - but the furniture was very tired - the chair near the table definitely needs replacing - the surface was totally worn out. It didn’t not feel like a luxury stay.

The spa is great the way the day was planned out made it not drag and was fun The rooms were spacious and the breakfast was great The staff were very nice and professional

I found given it claims to be a luxury resort the decor was very tired poor paintwork and ripped wallpaper The bar prices I also found a were a little excessive Large glass of white wine was £20 And I realise they can’t do much about this but the place is massive all the corridors look the same and I got lost more then once

Gym and the bar and restaurant were nice. The bar food was also pleasant.

We went with the intention of using the spin studio but the projector was broken and nobody let us know event though we checked in and specifically asked if we could use it. We then asked a meme bee of the team if it could be fixed and we were told it was broken. We booked massages and we were told that they were at 3pm and 4pm when we booked them. On the day I was waiting until 4:20pm and then asked what was happening and was told that I missed my massage.clearly there was mix up and the spa did accommodate us, though neither of us received a full hour (around 45mins). I probably wouldn’t book a massage again. Usually, spas ask clients what type of massage they would like, but this wast done, therefore a very light massage wasn’t really to my personal preference.

Great food and staff, lovely surroundings.

We attended a dinner where the facilities, food and service were excellent. I was a bit surprised to be turfed out of the function room as early as we were though and we then, effectively, were split up as a group as we were left in an entrance foyer outside the function room with its own bar but nowhere to sit. People left or went to the main bar. Having paid for the dinner, I felt a bit short changed. At night, the (very smart) main hotel bar was pretty lively with music at a volume that stopped any form of normal conversation being possible. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, as was every single member of staff we met. Surroundings are beautiful - I am not a golfer but the course looked out of this world.

Music in the main bar was just too loud at night. Drinks prices there were pretty eye opening too, £15 for a glass of wine is a bit toppy and sticking a service charge on top for drinks bought after queuing from the bar was a surprise when we checked the receipt. Our room was pretty tired, there was a faux leather chair which was pretty worn, ready for a re-trim / the skip and the bathroom tiles were ready for a re-grout.

Expensive and lacking attentions to detail.

The room was adequate for the price and breakfast was good, freshly cooked broad selection to choose from.

On arrival at the room, I found the toilet had been used and not flushed and there was a piece of rubbish in the bin! which questioned the servicing of the room? Fortunately my partner did not witness this and as not to spoil the trip I choose not to mention it.

Good experience overall, not amazing though. Not a bad place to stay from a pricepoint.

Facilities are very good, all staff say hello and good morning etc...

Reception staff seem to rush, they don't explain everything clean enough and speak very fast. It seems that they are working to tick a box rather than to deliver an experience. I think this process could be slowed down and speak slower so everyone understands. We had around 8 rooms in total and everyone said the same thing, it was busy though. I would have expected everything to be explained clearer and slower. Coffee that was ordered with breakfast never arrived, however I could have chased this.

I came here for my 30th birthday with my partner and friends.

I came here for my 30th birthday with my partner and friends. Friday night we made plans to have food and go to the bel air due to corona updates the hotel did not open it. The staff assured me of a full refund due to the lack of facilities for the two night stay that we paid for all though we came back early on the Saturday. Tried contacting booking.com for The refund that I’d been promised yet had no luck. Very poor communication and still battling with getting my refund of 453 pounds. My friends received their refund at the desk as they had paid in cash. Very disappointed.

overpriced

I booked the stay including breakfast and had to pay for it again. Also the rooms couldnt have been further away from each other. The staff were rude and unhelpful at reception. one of the rooms were still being cleaned at 7.30pm so after being sent there, there was a man in there cleaning.

see above also it was very overpriced. It wasn't a good experiece at all. The night cost around £600 with the rooms, paying for breakfast twice, food and drinks. We could have gone abroad for that

Excellent golf course. Sam’s bar is lively and enjoyable

Ryder grill expensive. Disengaged bordering on rude staff. Bed uncomfortable. Some room furnishings broken. Bar expensive for average cocktails but a nice environment.

Great location and Staff.

Love the location just off the motorway. Husband has a golf lesson whilst I go to a meeting so works well. The breakfast is fantastic with so much choice and plenty of coffee.

The rooms are a little small and dated. We upgraded to a family room which gave us plenty of extra space and a large bed (most rooms have a double which we find too small). Main problem is the poor lighting and no where to sit and dry your hair in front of a well lit mirror. Husband would have liked a shaving mirror in the bathroom.

Clean and tidy hotel.

Good sized bed, disabled bathroom nothing special.

Staff were very chatty and friendly on the front desk however the next morning the two ladies at the restaurant for breakfast were extremely rude, the one in particular. Whilst trying to find my name demanding she's already had that name and its room only. (There were probably 5 rooms with my last name because my dad got married the night before) tried to explain this and she repeated its room only its room only, I'd have happily paid £18.50 for two breakfasts but the attitude of the woman put me and my fiance off. Such a shame when you have a delightful front of house but you leave the hotel with that last impression.

Other than cold pool we had an lovely dtay

Breakfast and location was excellent.

The swimming pool was freezing cold. As a pregnant lady I couldn't use jacuzzi sauna etc so only the pool but it was too cold to stay in for too long. Also the sunbed areas were quite cold too

Access to facilities, peaceful and scenic. Lovely and clean

Room was noisy at night from the water system when upstairs used their bathroom we could hear them. There was no water in the room. We have stayed at various hotels and I would say this is pretty standard.

Clean hotel, friendly staff. Really enjoyed our cream tea also.

I’ve never met such rude door staff In all my life. A few of us couples popped into the on site club bel air as we went for a few drinks after food. They were rude letting us in and whilst being in the club we were getting non stop dirty looks off them. Nice hotel but wouldn’t go back to the club again.

Not what I was expecting

Dinner and Breakfast were very high quality. Staff were trying.

Poor standards of housekeeping throughout. There were rooms very close to social areas. Bathroom had no extraction method at all, (fire alarm potential). Facilities poorly signposted throughout except the spa. Reception staff were under pressure from arrivals and departures. Queuing system at reception was unclear. Shall I go on? Toiletries were unacceptable for people with arthritic hands. You had to get in the shower to turn it on, (stupid). Water splashed out in large quantities on laminate floors turning them into trip hazards. Every seat I sat on, in the entire building, was more suited to a shorter person. We had a lamp in our room with a foot switch, it refused to go on. We called housekeeping who flicked a switch on the opposite side of the room... gee thanks...
